ALBANIA
I was born in 1979 at Durres,a beautiful city situated to the west Albanian coast.
Albania, is the country of eagles and incontaminated nature.I think that the charm and beauty of the countryside land is the first step to raise our eyes toward the sky. This makes us aware of what wonders and how much imagination is able mother nature and the universe himself. When i was 12 years old,I heard accidently a friend talking about the Big Dipper and strange figures who made constellations in the sky where "modern people" read as well the future. But i didn't care about the future, i was amazing about stars and constelations.Because we lived enclosed in the shell of communism where no one knew nothing of what was happening outside their borders. And to hear about things so strange and mysterious fills me with a curiosity that still carry with me today. I spent whole nights watching the sky with the naked eye, and this give me with such a joy.For the first time i felt free in a different way, that i never taste before.
Light pollution in Albania in the 80-90 years was almost zero. From the cities one could observe with the naked eye, stars of magnitude 5., And the suburbs had nothing to envy to Africa skyes. What i need was the ability to have a telescope in addition to binoculars and someone to tell me something more about what i observed.Fortunatly latter i got all this.
I sadly get away from Albania in 1997, and i moved to Brescia in Italy, where i still reside today.
In 2006, I bought my first instrument, the ETX 70 refractor of Meade optics. It was immediately love. But after 2 months of free observation I needed something more ... I wanted to share my emotions of looking in a eyepiece ,with everyone.I wanted to stop that light. And at that point that I decided to jump in the astrophotography world.A world that fascinates me more and more.
In 2007 I purchased a Newtonian reflector of Vixen. The 'R150S F / 5 is a suitable instrument to photograph Deep sky objekts, very bright and the weight of 3,5 kg makes it a practical scope to transport.I hope to take of great satisfaction with this telescope .
Currently I am part of GADS (Group Amateur Astronomers Deep Sky)and creator with Elton Balla(Oxford) of the first Albanian astroclub "Universalb". We are a group of very close friends, and we still meet every new moon to have fun like children.
